The design of Benenden pitch and pavilion was highly sensitive as the School is located within the High Weald AONB and the 125ha site is a Grade II listed Park and Garden. The building itself nestles into the natural landscape to give a two-storey front and a single-storey elevation to the rear shielded from view by existing flora and fauna. Despite the architectural softening of the building, the school has received a modern and efficient facility heated via ground source loops buried below the pitches it serves.
